Cultural Bali

One of the many reasons why I like Bali is because of her rich cultural heritage. It is no wonder I like to stay in Ubud, the cultural centre of Bali, whenever I am there. This coming photo-safari will be no different.

It is not infrequent that we see the Balinese wearing a frangipani flowers on the ears... even males.

Look away

During the safari we will go behind the stag to shoot the dancers preparing for the kecak dance performance at Uluwatu... at sunset!

We will also be shooting some other dancers in the brilliant traditional costumes.

I am certain the participants will be in for a treat starting this coming weekend.

  • hello, i hope u dont mind me asking but how do u achieve these great lighting effects of people portraits w/o using a flash? could it be that a reflector is being used to capture even the candid shots?

all the pictures are simply stunning to the smallest detail!

    • They were all taken in available light without a reflector. The lighting is good because of a few reasons e.g I generally select the time I shoot ( when lighting is conducive ) and thereafter the photos are then enhanced in post-processing.

Hope the above helps and thanks for the nice comments.
