Playing with children is my forte given the training that I have gone through. This is the same child I met in Chengdu, China when I was there last year. He was a bit apprehensive when we first met and I soon got him to open up.

This is another shot of the same two monks but this time it was taken at Ta Prohm, the temple ruins in Siem Reap made famous by the shooting of Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie a few years ago (the previous shot posted on January 13th was taken at Preah Khan).

This shot was taken during my teaching photo-safari to Siem Reap late last year. We were on our way out to Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia, when we passed through this fishing village. What a great place for my type of street portraiture!

This shot of Natacha Meunier was taken during my August workshop with Burke Strickland, a very keen photography hobbyist from Texas. When you have a great & gorgeous model, a good background and beautiful side-lighting (and of course, a patient participant), that to me is a formula for a potential good shot. Hope this one makes the grade.

I have so many files to process that I almost do not know where to start. And I have files since March that I have not finished processing!

Well, I have to start somewhere as these files begged to be processed. For a start here is one of Kharunisia Jazmin taken during the Manuel Librodo workshop in historical Malacca in July.

I have always wanted to re-process this and finally got down to do it. This is a very different workflow from what I used to do. I worked more on the skin, added some colors to the make-up and used a combination of blend modes. I hope you like it.

Life is short and I always advocate that it is better to consider a glass to be half full rather than half empty. The following shot always reminds me to be happy and never fails to put a smile on my face.

Taken at the Bali photo-safari organized by me a couple of months ago with my Nikon D3 + Nikon 17-35mm/2.8 Aperture priority @ f/2.8 1/125s ISO400. By the way this is a heads up for those who would like to join me on the next photo-safari probably in January 2010. Drop me an email if you are interested and I will keep you posted.
