Motion in red

This shot of Natacha Meunier was taken during my August workshop with Burke Strickland, a very keen photography hobbyist from Texas. When you have a great & gorgeous model, a good background and beautiful side-lighting (and of course, a patient participant), that to me is a formula for a potential good shot. Hope this one […]

Vintage Kharu

I have so many files to process that I almost do not know where to start. And I have files since March that I have not finished processing!

Well, I have to start somewhere as these files begged to be processed. For a start here is one of Kharunisia Jazmin taken during the Manuel […]

This is another shot of Cay Kuijpers at the same sitting as the one shared here previously. I like how the leaves and shawls framed her face.

Shot with Nikon D3 + Nikon 24-70mm/2.8 Aperture Priority @ f/2.8 1/80s ISO200.

Another of Linaa

This is another one that I like. Thought I should share with you. Taken in available light with Nikon D3 with 24-70mm Aperture Priority @f/3.2 ISO400 1/160s.

Kharu in white

I have always wanted to re-process this and finally got down to do it. This is a very different workflow from what I used to do. I worked more on the skin, added some colors to the make-up and used a combination of blend modes. I hope you like it.

This is Kharunisia taken with […]

Happy go lucky

Life is short and I always advocate that it is better to consider a glass to be half full rather than half empty. The following shot always reminds me to be happy and never fails to put a smile on my face.

Taken at the Bali photo-safari organized by me a couple of months ago […]

Mugli, the boy from Jungle Book?

Not really. Took this in Siem Reap, Cambodia at a village near Tonle Sap.

Taken with Nikon D3 + Nikon 70-200mm/2.8 Aperture Priority @ f/3.2 1/320s ISO400.

This was taken a while back; I found it in my old files which I have somehow overlooked. I decided to apply my latest workflow to it.

Taken with Nikon D2X + Nikon 17-35 mm Aperture Priority @ f/3.2 1/180s ISO400.

I love the lighting of this photo

Trying to get the Hmong people of Sapa to pose for a photo  during my trip there was usually declined unless you buy something from them. This lady was an exception.

I simply love the lighting of this photo. Taken with Nikon D3 + Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 Aperture Priority @ f/3.2 1/640s ISO400.
