Diffuse the light

This is one of the many tricks I would use in available light photography especially when lighting is getting too harsh. This shot was taken in late morning and shows how expertly Kharu used the shawl to help diffuse the light.

I have always wanted to re-process this and finally got down to do it. This is a very different workflow from what I used to do. I worked more on the skin, added some colors to the make-up and used a combination of blend modes. I hope you like it.

Just a glimpse – Photo to share

 

This was taken on one of my many personal trips to Bali. This gentleman was a souvenir vendor at the ground floor along the west side of Ubud market. It was mid-morning with light coming through the gap between two buildings from above him.
